Paul Dimoff
Paul Dimoff (born January 14, 1880 in Mourmelon-le-Grand , † April 1973 ) was a French Romance studies and literary scholar.
Life
Dimoff was a student of Louis Bertrand in Algiers . He studied at the école normal supérieure (born in 1899) and passed the Agrégation de lettres. He completed his habilitation with the two theses La vie et l'oeuvre d'André Chénier jusqu'à la Révolution française 1762-1790 (2 vols., Paris 1936, Geneva 1970) and La Genèse de Lorenzaccio (Paris 1936, 1964, 1990) . Dimoff taught at the Universities of Nancy and Saarbrücken .
Dimoff was president of the Académie de Stanislas in Nancy from 1949 to 1950 .
