Paul Effert (born May 28, 1931 in Düsseldorf ) is a German stamp artist and medalist .

In 1949 he began an apprenticeship as a lithographer and then studied at the Werkkunstschule Krefeld and the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Düsseldorf. Here was his teacher Walter Breker .

He then became a teacher himself at the Werkkunstschule Krefeld, but was also self-employed in Düsseldorf.

In 1965 he moved to Kaarst and works as a graphic designer and freelance artist. Since then he has created several postage stamps and also designed two coins for the Federal Republic of Germany.
