Paul Gebel

Paul Gebel (born May 12, 1893 in Lassisken ; † November 4, 1972 ) was a German farmer and politician ( DNVP ).

Life

Gebel worked as a farmer in Lassisken. He did military service with the 2nd Guards Regiment on foot and took part in the First World War as a soldier . After the war he joined the DNVP, became the community leader of Lassisken and, in 1924, a member of the district council and the district committee of the Groß Wartenberg district . Since 1931 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of Lower Silesia . In 1932 he was elected to the Prussian state parliament, to which he belonged until its dissolution in October 1933.

After fleeing and being expelled, he first lived, again as a farmer, for a few years in Garnsdorf near Chemnitz, before moving with his family to West Germany - near Düsseldorf - in the 1950s, where he lived until his death.
