Paul Gottfried

Paul Edward Gottfried (born November 21, 1941 in Brooklyn , New York City ) is an American political scientist , historian , philosopher and author . He is considered a representative of paleoconservatism .

Life

Paul Gottfried studied at Yeshiva University (Bachelor, 1963) and Yale University (Master, 1965). His Ph.D. he acquired in 1967. He was then an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University and New York University . In 1974 he took a chair in history at Rockford College . From 1989 he was Horace Raffensperger Professor of Humanities at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. He is a lecturer at the Ludwig von Mises Institute . He is also President of the Henry L. Mencken Club and a member of the Società Libera.
