Paul Haase
Paul Haase (born April 2, 1873 ; died October 15, 1925 in Berlin ) was a German painter , draftsman and caricaturist . The subjects of his caricatures and drawings were racing, racing fields, sports and the military. His drawings appeared in Berlin magazines and newspapers.
He also worked as an illustrator . These include the “Visions of Twilight” by Oskar Panizza and several works by Hanns Heinz Ewers , including children's books written in verse by Ewers and Erich Mühsam under the pseudonym “Uncle Franz”.
His wife Julie Haase-Werkenthin (1882–1960) was a fashion designer.
Paul Haase died in Berlin in 1925 at the age of 52 and was buried in the Old Twelve Apostles Cemetery in Berlin-Schöneberg . The grave has not been preserved.
