Paul Jessup
Paul Jessup ( Paul Boulet Jessup; born September 23, 1908 in Bellingham , Washington , † October 27, 1992 in Palm Beach ) was an American discus thrower .
In 1930 he became US champion with the world record throw of 51.73 m. In 1931 he defended his title, and in 1932 he qualified as US runner-up for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , where he was eighth.
Starting for the University of Washington , he became an NCAA champion in 1930 .
