Paul Knuth
Paul Erich Otto Wilhelm Knuth (born November 20, 1854 in Greifswald , † October 30, 1899 in Kiel ) was a German botanist and teacher . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Knuth ".
He was trained in Greifswald , he received the title of Dr. phil., was a high school professor in Iserlohn until 1876 and then in Kiel until 1881 . His activity as a botanist allowed him to travel to Java , Japan , the USA and South America . In 1899 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina .
