Paul Rudolph Lange (born January 12, 1850 in Vienna ; † April 26, 1890 there ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

Paul Lange received his training at Stuttgart Polytechnic , but returned to Vienna after completing his training. There he initially worked in various construction studios. From 1873 to 1874 he stayed in Rome as part of a study visit . While working for the studio of Alexander Wielemans von Monteforte , he met Dominik Avanzo , with whom he often worked. From 1875 to 1880 he and Dominik Avanzo were the site manager for the construction of the Vienna Palace of Justice . In 1880 he took up a teaching position in the field of specialist drawing for cabinet makers at the Technological Trade Museum Vienna and was appointed professor at the Trade Museum in 1881. Paul Lange contributed to the publications "Wiener Neubauten" (Volume 2, 1880) by Lützow-Tischler and the templates for the opera house and the Palace of Justice for the work "Wiener Monumentalbauten" from 1885.
