Paul Liebergesell

Paul Liebergesell (born September 14, 1871 in Braunschweig ; † May 9, 1932 in Munich ) was a German architect and building contractor.

Career

Liebergesell founded the construction company Liebergesell & Lehmann in Munich in 1897 together with Feodor Lehmann . In 1899 he founded the Association for the Improvement of Housing Conditions in Munich . Social housing blocks were built on Rosenheimer Strasse, Klugstrasse and Aidenbachstrasse.

Together with Lord Mayor Karl Scharnagl and City Councilor Preis, he developed the first state housing programs. From 1925 to 1929 he was a member of the Munich City Council.

After his death, his son Ernst took over the construction company.
