Paul Mühlbach (born December 27, 1849 in Frankfurt (Oder) ; † November 16, 1908 in Königsberg i. Pr. ) Was a German city planner in Königsberg.

Life

Mühlbach studied at the Berlin Building Academy . He passed the test as a site manager with distinction. In the Prussian War Ministry he was employed, among other things, with the construction of the garrison hospital in Königsberg. In response to his application, he was elected city ​​building officer in Königsberg in 1887 . Many of his buildings gave the cityscape a new character. He built the slaughterhouse (Königsberg) , the hospitals in Königsberg , many schools and the fire department building. The uncovering of the northeast corner of Königsberg Castle (1900) with the demolition of the houses on the south bank of the Königsberg Castle pond allowed Schlossplatz and Münzplatz to merge. Mühlbach died shortly before his 59th birthday.
