Paul Martin (musician)

Paul Martin (born November 12, 1927 in Gießen ) is a German jazz and entertainment musician ( tenor saxophone , violin , guitar ).

Martin made his first appearances as a violinist and then as a saxophonist in the Frankfurt Hotclub Combo , of which he was a member from 1942 to 1947. Then he went to Munich, where he played with Delle Haensch and Charly Tabor and led his own band with Jutta Hipp and Freddy Christmann . In 1950 Kurt Edelhagen brought him into his orchestra, to which he belonged until 1957; he also recorded with the Edelhagen All Stars ( Paul's Boogie ). Then played in various bands, put on his own records with dance music and worked as a studio musician.
