Paul Poet (born October 3, 1971 in Abqaiq , Saudi Arabia ) is a director , journalist , media scientist and author .

Life

After Poet worked in Vienna's musical subculture as organizer, promoter , DJ , critic and singer for the hardcore band No Fish on Friday , he turned to film directing in 1996. His debut short film Hoch Zeit featured international rock celebrities . Numerous international music videos and television programs followed. In 1999 he received the Duel Videoclip directing award in Faenza for the music video "TripHopping in the Planet Drug", which became a major television hit in Europe and a festival hit in the United States . After a few innovative internet projects such as running the first European online film festival, he released his first feature-length film Ausländer! Schlingensief's container is finished, which documents an action by Christoph Schlingensief that took place as part of the Vienna Festival in 2000.
