Paul Ronnefeld

Paul Rönnefeld , also Pawel Ronnevelt († September 11, 1581 in Lübeck ) was a merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Paul Rönnefeld was a merchant in Lübeck. In 1572 he is documented in the pastors' book of Lübeck Cathedral as the donor of two bell bags . He was elected to the Lübeck Council in 1573. In 1574 he was together with the Council Syndicus Calixtus Schein as the city's ambassador in Sweden to help King John III. to obtain the clearance of 17 on the return journey from Narva by the Lübeck merchant ships captured by the Swedes. This diplomatic mission failed and the Lübeck Council turned to the Kaiser about this breach of the Peace of Stettin .

Rönnefeld lived in the house at Breite Straße 37 in Lübeck .
