Paul Sârbu

Paul Sârbu (born June 25, 1957 in Caracal , Romania ) is a Romanian teacher , poet and writer .

Life

Paul Sârbu graduated from the pedagogical school in Tulcea (1977) and became a village teacher in Letea in the Danube Delta .

In his literary works, Sârbu repeatedly takes up adventurous events from his adopted home in the Danube Delta.

He made his debut in 1988 in SLAST magazine with the story Gheboasa . The following year he began in the same magazine, with the poetry of Mircea Iorgulescu.

Paul Sârbu has been a member of the Romanian Writers' Union (branch " Dobruja ") since 1999 .

He has received several awards for his work:

  • Festivalul naţional de poezie (National Poetry Festival) "Lucian Blaga" (Sebeş, 1994)
  • Premiul pentru proză al Salonului naţional de carte "Ovidius" (2002)
  • Premiul Filialei “Dobrogea” a Uniunii Scriitorilor pentru proz (2002)
  • Premiul Asociaţiei Internationale a Scriitorilor și Oamenilor de Arta Romani “Liter ArtXXI” for the years 2002-2003
