Paul Trautvetter
Paul Trautvetter (born March 15, 1889 in Pfäffikon ZH ; † May 5, 1983 in Zurich ) was a Swiss Reformed pastor and pacifist .
Trautvetter was influenced by Leonhard Ragaz's religious-social movement . With various actions he turned right-wing groups against him.
Together with Karl von Greyerz , Robert Lejeune and Rudolf Liechtenhahn , he founded the “Association of Antimilitarist Pastors” in Schaffhausen in autumn 1925, which already had 100 members in the following year.
"In 1942 at the Zurich Church Synod he turned against the execution of the death penalty against the convicted of treason ."
From 1946 to 1948 Paul Trautvetter was editor of the magazine Neue Wege , and from 1949 to 1975 he was editor of the structure .
In Zurich- Höngg , where he was pastor for a long time, a path has been named after him since 2004.
