Paul Valadon
Paul Valadon (* 1867 in Cologne ; † April 23, 1913 in Phoenix (Arizona) ) was a magician .
Life
Paul Valadon was born under the name Adolph Waber or Adolph Weber. He was temporarily a hairdresser in London and assistant to Ernst Basch and started his own career together with his wife with a mind reader number . He toured England, Australia and South Africa. In 1896 he moved to England. There he worked from 1904 to 1907 as the successor to David Devant at Maskelyne and Cooke in London. Harry Kellar met him at the Egyptian Hall in London, who recruited him for the Kellar's Show. Presumably in this way Kellar learned of some tricks that were previously unknown to him. In fact, Valadon should have succeeded Harry Kellar; but there were disagreements in 1907 that prevented this. Kellar instead sold his business to Howard Thurston . Valadon died impoverished of tuberculosis in the United States . He left a son.
