Paul Whibley (born October 4, 1978 in Gravesend ) is a former British biathlete .

Paul Whibley is a soldier with the rank of Lance Corporal in the 28 Engineer Regiment RE , for which he is also running. The Gillingham athlete is trained by Jason Sklenar . He started biathlon in 1998 and has been a member of the UK national team since 2005. That year he ran his first international race as part of the Biathlon European Cup . The high point of his first season was the 2006 European Biathlon Championships in Langdorf with positions 71 in the individual, 74 in the sprint and 17 in the relay. The 2006/07 season brought the best results with positions 15 in the mass start and 18 in the pursuit of Gurnigel . In Bansko Whibley appeared again at an EM and was there 58th in the individual, 64th in the sprint and 13th with the relay. His third and last European Championship ran in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě , where he was 68th in the individual. Nationally, Whibley won the 2005 military patrol title, finished second in the season, and won bronze on the team. In 2007 relay silver was added, in 2008 the title in the mass start competition and silver with the relay and in the team. In 2008 he ended his international career but continued to take part in national competitions. So he won the title with the relay and was runner-up in the team competition.
