Paul Buder , from 1893 by Buder , (* 1836 in Leutkirch ; † 1914 ) was a German Lutheran theologian , religious scholar , ephorus and professor . He was rector of the University of Tübingen in 1891/1892 .

Paul von Buder was the son of a master shoemaker and sacristan. He went through the Württemberg regional church theological training: After attending the seminary school in Urach , he received a scholarship from the Evangelical Foundation in Tübingen, where he completed his theology studies from 1854-58. He then became vicar in Nürtingen , repetent (grammar school vicar ) at the boarding school in Heilbronn , 1862 repetent at the Tübinger Stift, 1865 deacon, 1867 district school inspector in Backnang , 1868 second chaplain (court chaplain) in Stuttgart, since 1869 also auxiliary worker in the consistory and member of the theological examination committee , 1872 Ephorus of the Evangelical Monastery, 1872 extraordinary professor for New Testament exegesis at the theological faculty of the University of Tübingen, 1877 there full professor for dogmatics and New Testament theology. In 1906 he received an honorary doctorate from the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Tübingen. In 1910, at the age of 74, he resigned from his post as ephorus and professor.
