Paula Almquist

Paula Almquist (* 1945 ) (also Almqvist ) is a German journalist .

Life

Paula Almquist was a reporter and columnist for stern and Brigitte Woman . She also publishes books that deal with women's issues in a more playful way.

In 1981 she was awarded the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize for her work Die Einsamkeit der Rita M. im stern . The award-winning report on the empty life of an almost 60-year-old woman after a committed and successful career as a chief secretary was analyzed in a comparative study on gender-specific writing in journalism. Almquist was later a member of the jury for the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize .

Almquist lives as a freelance writer in Hamburg and Normandy .
