Paula Eberty , married Paula Klaar (born September 8, 1869 in Berlin ; † February 5, 1929 there ) was a German theater and silent film actress .

Life

Paula Eberty worked as an actor since 1893. After first trying her hand at Krefeld, she came to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin in 1894, where she worked effectively in the field of the naive until at least 1902. In 1899 and 1900 she appeared at the Deutsches Theater in Vienna.

Then heard Eberty until the outbreak of the First World War many years the Berlin Lessing Theater under the direction of Otto Brahms on. After the war she played under Felix Hollaender's direction at Max Reinhardt's German Theater . From 1918 the artist was also active as a silent film actress for several years.

Paula Eberty was married to the writer Alfred Klaar .
