Hundemamachen is a short, German silent film fun game from 1919 with Ossi Oswalda in the lead role.
action
Ossi plays the daughter of a widow here. She owns a number of dogs and has to look for a job in order to raise the taxes for the four-legged friends. She applies to work as a secretary at Brockmüller, whose specialty is the wholesale manufacture of lace. However, since she is found to be too pretty, Ossi puts on ugly make-up. It will then be discontinued. Junior boss Karl Brockmüller meets her on a train trip and immediately falls in love with the young secretary. Only when they both get engaged does he learn that making dogs is identical to the secretary employed in his father's business.
Production notes
