Paula Kiffner

Paula Kiffner is a Canadian cellist.

Kiffner studied at the Peabody Conservatory and Ohio State University . Her teachers were Harvey Shapiro , Laurence Lesser and Stephen Kates . She was a member of the Washington Theater Chamber Players and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Principal Cellist of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra , as well as a guest Principal Cellist of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Orchestra . She has performed as a recitalist and soloist in Pacific Northwest .

She has taught as visiting professor at the University of British Columbia , the University of Victoria and the Victoria Conservatory of Music , has worked with youth orchestras from the USA and Canada and has been artist in residence at the University of Victoria since 1991 , where she teaches cello and chamber music.
