Paula Schneider
Paula Schneider (* 1976 in Leipzig ) is a German writer and radio author.
Youth and education
Paula Schneider was born in Leipzig ("as a student child") and grew up in Berlin . She graduated from the Georg-Friedrich-Handel-Gymnasium . Her studies took her back to Leipzig. With the aim of learning how to write, she studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . In 2003 she received her diploma.
Writer
Back in Berlin in 2004 she received a scholarship for Schloss Wiepersdorf . As a result, Schneider wrote a variety of radio features and radio plays . For the feature stay with me, because it is getting dark. Loved ones in a retirement home finally received an award in 2014: the 2014 Feature Prize from the Radio Basel Foundation .
In 2005 she took up the scholarship at the Writer's House in Stuttgart . In 2017 she can finally enjoy the stimulating atmosphere of Schloss Wiepersdorf again.
In 2017, Schneider was the town clerk in Kronstadt ( Romania ) from May to September . She writes about it in the commissioned blog for the German Cultural Forum Eastern Europe and the Democratic Forum of Germans in Romania . The book Andersstadt und Hünenkronen was created from the texts of the blog .

Paula Schneider lives in Niedergörsdorf.
