Paula Zell

Paula Zell (born September 25, 1881 in Munich; † February 25, 1963 there ) was a patron of the home education .

Life

In 1908 she married the architect Franz Zell . When the First World War began, her charity expressed itself in voluntary work for the Bavarian Red Cross . She was later appointed to the board of directors of the infant home on Lachnerstrasse. She also joined the board of the St. Marien-Ludwig-Ferdinand children's home, of which she headed the support committee. After the German inflation from 1914 to 1923 she organized charitable collections to alleviate the plight of the home. On February 3, 1925, she hosted the first chrysanthemum ball during the Munich Carnival . As a charity event , he raised money for the infant home and, in the following years, exclusively for the children's home. Five -digit donations were raised every year .

The air raids on Munich damaged the children's home. Despite serious health problems, Paula Zell took care of the reconstruction of the home in Germany in the post-war period after the Second World War .
