Pauli Ebner
Pauli Ebner , actually Paula Ebner or Pauline Ebner , (born August 26, 1873 in Vienna ; † November 9, 1949 there ) was an Austrian painter and illustrator .
Life
Pauli Ebner was born in Vienna as the daughter of a glove maker. She was able to enjoy her training at the private painting school Strehblow in Vienna. In 1912 she was accepted as a member of the Austrian Association of Artists. She illustrated numerous children's books, books for department store picture book publishers and painted many postcards for various postcard publishers. Her favorite subject was young children, especially girls. She usually signed her drawings as »Pauli Ebner« or »P. EBNER «. However, it is believed that there were a large number of books illustrated by her that were published anonymously.
