Pauline Chan
Pauline Chan (* 1956 in Vietnam ) is an Australian actress , director and producer .
Live and act
Born in Vietnam in 1956 , Pauline Chan of Chinese descent left her home country for Hong Kong at the age of 16 towards the end of the Vietnam War . Here she attended high school, took acting lessons at a drama school and then starred in Hong Kong films. Pauline Chan later studied film at the University of California in Los Angeles in the USA and moved to Sydney in 1980 . Pauline Chan made her debut as an Australian actress in 1987 in the Australian television series Vietnam, produced by George Miller . In the 1989 mini-series Bangkok Hilton , another George Miller production, she played a beautiful and corrupt Thai prison guard and became known in German-speaking countries. Of her directorial work, the 1996 film A Woman Strikes Back is best known in Germany.
