Pauline Piddock

Pauline Piddock , b. Hemmings (* 1949 ; † July 2007 ), was an English table tennis player . She took part in several world championships .

Career

Pauline Hemmings grew up in Baldock, England . In September 1967 she married the English table tennis player Tony Piddock and then performed under the name Pauline Piddock .

In 1969 she won the English national championship in doubles with Judy Heaps. At the 1969 World Cup in Munich, she surprisingly defeated the reigning world champion Sachiko Morisawa from Japan, but was later eliminated by Edit Buchholz from West Germany. In 1971 she won the Commonwealth Championship in doubles with Karenza Mathews and in mixed with Alan Hydes .
