Paulius Griciūnas

Paulius Griciūnas (born June 5, 1974 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian lawyer and politician , former Deputy Minister of Justice of Lithuania (2013-2017).

Life

After graduating from the 9th Vilnius Middle School in 1992, Paulius Griciūnas graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a law degree in 1998 . From 1996 to 1997 he studied at the University of Oslo in Norway . From 1997 to 2002 Friciūnas worked in the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania , was deputy director of a department. From 2002 to 2003 he was an advisor in the legal department of the Seimas law firm, and in 2003 he was advisor to the President of Lithuania Rolandas Paksas . From 2004 to 2006 he worked in the sub-department for constitutional law of the Seimas office, from 2006 office head of the audit committee.

From 2008 Griciūnas worked in the Ministry of Justice of Lithuania . He was State Secretary, Director of the Department for Strategic Management , from 2012 Deputy Director of the Department for International Law . As of January 29, 2013, he has been Deputy Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis in the Butkevičius cabinet . From 2017 he was Deputy Minister of Justice Milda Vainiutė in the Skvernelis cabinet . He resigned at the end of September 2017.
