Pausitz is a district of the Saxon community of Bennewitz . The village is three kilometers south of the city of Wurzen on the left bank of the Mulde . Pausitz has been a church village since the Middle Ages.
history
Pausitz is a Slavic foundation. It came to the Archdiocese of Magdeburg in 985 through exchange for Nerchau .
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Bach, Rothersdorf and Walzig were incorporated.
During the floods in 2002, the place was seriously affected.
War memorial
The Nuremberg sculptor Johannes Seiler created the war memorial for those who fell in the First World War.
