Live and act

After graduating from high school , Tlustoš studied inorganic chemistry at the University of Pardubice (1974–1979) with a degree in engineering. This was followed by an engagement as a chemical technologist at Chirana, Nové Město in Moravia. When he joined ČZU as a research assistant in agrochemistry and plant nutrition , he began his doctoral studies in 1984, which he completed in 1989 with a dissertation on the subject of environmental impact and plant availability of slow-release fertilizers at the Czech Agricultural University in Prague . Scientific research stays at the Iowa State University in the USA and the IACR Rothamsted in Great Britain followed , as well as the various professor levels up to the appointment as professor by President Václav Havel in 2002.
