Pawel Ilyich Schitkow ( Russian Павел Ильич Житков ; born June 4, 1984 in Karaganda , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HK Arlan Kökschetau since 2010 .

Career

Pavel Schitkow began his career as an ice hockey player at Kasachmys Karaganda , for whose second team he was active until 2006 in the Kazakh ice hockey championship , as well as the Pervaya League , the third Russian division. At the same time, the goalkeeper played for CSKA Temirtau in Kazakhstan from 2003 to 2005 . After the resettlement of Kasachmys to Sätbajew he came in two seasons to a total of 19 missions in the Wysschaja Liga , while he was again mainly for the second team in the Pervaya League and Kazakhstan between the posts. After a year with Kristall Saratov in the Wysschaja Liga, the Kazakh got a contract with Barys Astana from the Continental Hockey League for the 2009/10 season . In October Schitkow moved to HK Arlan Kökschetau .
