biography

Krotow took part in the European Cup from January 2009 and achieved the first podium places in March 2011. He made his debut in the Freestyle World Cup on January 16, 2011 in Mont Gabriel , where he jumped to 34th place. He won his first World Cup points five days later when he finished 23rd in Lake Placid . At the end of the season he won the Russian championships. Surprisingly, on January 15, 2012, he won the World Cup competition in Mont Gabriel; it was only his third participation in the World Cup. Due to an injury, he missed almost the entire 2012/13 season. After three top 10 placings at the beginning of the 2013/14 season, he jumped to 10th place at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .

In the 2014/15 season, Krotow achieved four top 10 placements in the World Cup, including a second place in Beijing . However, he had the worst result this winter at the 2015 World Championships on Kreischberg with 19th place. In the 2015/16 World Cup winter, he didn't get past 11th place, and he didn't start in the 2016/17 season.
