Pavel Kuzmich Yakovlev
Pawel Kusmitsch Jakowlew ( Russian Павел Кузьмич Яковлев , English transcription Pavel Yakovlev; born January 16, 1958 in Ulan-Ude ) is a former Russian medium and long-distance runner who started for the Soviet Union .
He was eliminated in the preliminary races in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow in the 1500 m , finished fifth in the Friendship Competitions in 1984 and won the Goodwill Games in 1986.
In 1986 he was the Soviet indoor champion over 1500 m and 3000 m .
