Pavel Nikolayevich Mostovenko

Pavel Nikolayevich Mostowenko ( Russian Павел Николаевич Мостовенко ; born May 10 . Jul / 22. May  1881 greg. In Perm province , Russian Empire ; † 15. March 1938 in the Moscow Oblast , Soviet Union ) was a Soviet politician.

Mostowenko was in 1901 a member of the RSDLP . During the October Revolution he was a member of the Moscow Revolutionary Military Committee. He participated in the establishment of the Bashkir ASSR . In 1919 he was the authorized representative of Soviet Russia in Lithuania and Czechoslovakia. From 1923 he took over functionaries in the party and economy as well as teaching. In the 1930s he fell victim to the Stalinist purges . He was arrested on December 10, 1937 and sentenced to death for espionage. The sentence was carried out on March 15, 1938. In 1955 he was rehabilitated.
