Pawel Sergejewitsch Kuzmitsch ( Russian Павел Сергеевич Кузмич ; born June 16, 1988 in Krasnoyarsk ) is a Russian luge athlete .

Pavel Kuzmich is a student and lives in Moscow . He started toboggan in 1999. With his partner Boris Kuryschkin he starts as a front man in the two-seater. They made their debut in the Luge World Cup at the start of the 2007/08 season in Lake Placid , where they finished eleventh as in the following race in Calgary . It was the only races of the season in the World Cup for Kuzmitsch / Kuryschkin, in the overall standings they were 26. They cut two places lower in the season 208/09 , in which they also contested two races, but both times were among the top 20. In Sigulda they achieved 15th place. The 2009/10 World Cup season was the first time they took part in a complete World Cup season. With 12th place they achieved their best World Cup result in Altenberg . The first major event was the 2010 European Luge Championships in Sigulda. In the absence of the world-class doubles from Germany and Italy, Kuzmitsch / Kuryschkin took eighth place.
