Pawlo Mykolajowytsch Schwarz ( Ukrainian Павло Миколайович Шварц , scientific transliteration Pavlo Mykolajovyč Švarc ; born July 25, 1982 , Lutsk , Ukrainian SSR , USSR ) is a Ukrainian Lutheran pastor and since 2018 Episcopal Visitator of the German Lutheran Church of Ukraine (DELKU) .

Life

In 2011 he completed his theological studies at the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw . After graduating, he did his internship in the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland . He was ordained in 2012 . Since then he has been pastor of the German Evangelical Lutheran Resurrection Congregation in Kharkiv . Since 2017 he has been the head of the charity fund "Diakonie-Ukraine". As a result of the crisis in the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine and the dismissal of the then Bishop Serge Maschewski , he was appointed Episcopal Visitator by the DELKU synod on October 9, 2018. The 2019 DELKU Synod from October 25th to 26th elected Schwarz for a five-year term of office. He was introduced to his office on November 30, 2019.
