Pease 1 is a planetary nebula in the globular cluster M15 , about 33,600 light years away in the constellation Pegasus . The nebula was discovered in 1928 by the astronomer Francis G. Pease . It is the first of five planetary nebulae that have been observed in a globular cluster. The nebula has a brightness of 15.5 magnitude and can be observed with a telescope with an aperture of at least 30 cm.
