Pecco ( Piedmontese bad luck ) is a fraction and parish seat of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Val di Chy in the metropolitan city of Turin in the Piedmont region .

geography

The place is located in the Canavese in Val Chiusella , on the orographic left side of the Chiusella mountain river , about 44 km northeast of Turin . Pecco is located on a hill at an altitude of 650 mslm

history

Pecco was an independent municipality until December 31, 2018 and merged with Alice Superiore and Lugnacco on January 1, 2019 to form the new municipality of Val di Chy. Neighboring communities were Alice Superiore, Lugnacco, Rueglio and Vico Canavese .
