Peder Simonsen

Peder Simonsen (born December 1, 1987 ) is a Norwegian jazz and improvisation musician ( tuba , electronics, drum machine).

Simonsen studied from 2006 in the jazz department of the NTNU ; he continued his studies in Berlin and Amsterdam. He played pop music with Klang Kollektif and Ine Hoem. He made his breakthrough when he played with Jaga Jazzist on their tour in the USA and Canada in the summer of 2011 . He also worked with Invader Ace , a duo with Anton Toorell from the underground scene in Stockholm. The duo has released the double EP Dance / Love . Together with Martin Taxt and Robin Hayward , he runs the Microtonality- arrested Tubatrio Microtub , which has released three albums since 2011. He played tuba solo with Angus & Julia Stone in Paris and has written music for dance shows. In 2012 he released his solo album No. 2 . He can also be heard on albums with the Trondheim Jazzorkester , Therese Aune, Marcus Forsgren and with Martin Horntveth.
