Pedro Andrés Morales Flores (born May 25, 1985 in Hualpén , Región del Bío-Bío ) is a Chilean footballer .

Career

Morales began in 2004 as a professional footballer with CD Huachipato in Chile, where he quickly established himself as one of the team's most important players. In 2007 he moved to CF Universidad de Chile and was the second most successful goalscorer in the Clausura 2007 with 13 goals.

On June 11, 2008, Morales signed a five-year contract with Dynamo Zagreb . Here, too, he was able to develop into a leading player. In 2012 he was loaned to Universidad de Chile due to an injury-related form problem. With the Chileans he played his strongest season and won the Apentura 2012 with the team. After his return, he was loaned to the Spanish first division club Málaga , where he signed a two-year contract in June 2013.

On March 5, 2014, the Canadian bought Major League Soccer - Franchise the player for 300,000 euros. Morales has been signed up as a Designated Player, which means that he can earn more salaries than other players. In his first season, he scored 10 goals in 34 games and was awarded the MLS Newcomer of the Year Award.

National team

With the U-20 national team of Chile Morales took part in the 2005 Junior World Cup in the Netherlands .

In 2008 he was part of the U-23 national team at the Toulon tournament .

In January 2008 he was invited to the friendly games against South Korea and Japan. He made his debut against the South Koreans. On May 5, 2010, he scored his first goal in the game against Trinidad and Tobago.
