Pedro G. Romero

Pedro G. Romero (* 1964 in Aracena , Province of Huelva ) is a Spanish , interdisciplinary active visual artist .

life and work

Pedro G. Romero completed an art degree in Seville . He lives and works there and works in the fields of art (sculpture, painting), history, theory, literature, film, music, theater and dance. He is an art and literary critic, publisher, essayist , flamenco expert, inventor of taxonomies , collector of flamenco texts and references, a mediator between the art and the different traditions of this dance. Since 2000 he has been working at Archivo FX and at Máquina PH Pedro G. Romero has created numerous choreographies for the flamenco dancer Israel Galván .

As part of documenta 14 , Pedro G. Romero presented the three-day performative intervention La farsa monea together with the singer Niño de Elche and the flamenco dancer Israel Galván .
