Pedro Perez
Pedro Pérez Dueñas ( Pedro Damián Pérez Dueñas; born February 23, 1952 in Pinar del Río ; † July 18, 2018 in Havana ) was a Cuban triple jumper .
In 1970 he won the Central American and Caribbean Games and in 1971 the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships.
At the Pan American Games in Cali in 1971 , he triumphed with the world record of 17.40 m.
In 1972 he retired from qualifying at the Olympic Games in Munich .
In 1974 he defended his title at the Central American and Caribbean Games, and in 1976 he finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Montreal .
Pérez Dueñas died in Havana in July 2018 at the age of 66 .
