Peggy Madler
Peggy Mädler (* 1976 in Dresden ) is a German dramaturge , director and writer .
Peggy Mädler studied theater, education and cultural studies in Berlin . In 2008 she received her doctorate as a cultural scientist . In 2007, she and Julia Schleipfer founded the artist formation “Labor for Counterfactual Thinking”. She has received various grants, including from the Heinrich Böll Foundation , the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen , the Akademie der Künste (an Alfred Döblin grant ) and the Berlin Senate .
Her novel Where we go (Galiani 2019) is about families and friendships between Brno , Liberec and Berlin from the 1930s to the present day.
In 2019, Mädler was awarded the Fontane Literature Prize of the Fontane City of Neuruppin and the State of Brandenburg .
Peggy Mädler lives and works in Berlin.
