Peggy Regenwetter (born February 16, 1971 in Pétange ) is a former Luxembourg table tennis player who was internationally active from 1987 to 2004. It took part in eleven world championships , at least four European championships and, in 2000 , the Olympic Games.

Career

From 1987 to 2009 Peggy Regenwetter won 38 times at the national Luxembourg championships, 14 times in singles and 12 times in doubles and mixed. During this time she played for the Luxembourg clubs of Monnerech, Uewerdonven, Diddeleng and Nidderkäerjeng.

From 1987 to 2004 she took part in eleven world championships and at least four European championships . She reached the final in doubles at the 2000 European Championships together with Ni Xialian . In 2000 she qualified for participation in the double competition of the Olympic Games . At the side of Ni Xialian, she was eliminated in the first round against the Australians Miao Miao / Shirley Zhou .

Because of the success of this double, Peggy Regenwetter and Ni Xialian were voted Team of the Year in 2000.

Peggy Regenwetter has a son together with judoka and two-time Olympian Igor Muller .
