Pelekas ( Greek Πέλεκας ( m. Sg. )) Is a village in the west of the Greek island of Corfu . Together with six other settlements and hamlets, it forms a local community ( Τοπική Κοινότητα Πέλεκα Topikí Kinótita Péleka ) in the Parelii municipality of Kerkyra .

Kaiser's Throne viewing platform

Visitors can watch the sunset on a specially set up viewing platform on the top of a nearby hill, just as Kaiser Wilhelm II , owner of the Achilleion from 1907 , regularly did. Because of this, this area is known as the Kaiser's Throne .
