The Pelican Lake is a lake in the southwest of the Canadian province of Manitoba .

Pelican Lake is a shallow, elongated lake in the Pembina Valley . The valley was formed at the end of the last ice age, when the meltwater flowing away flowed in an easterly direction. The Pelican Lake has a water surface of 26.3 km². Its length in northwest-southeast direction is 18 km long. Its maximum width is 1.5 km. The lake is dammed by a dam. The natural catchment area of ​​the lake covers 690 km². The Pelican Lake Inlet Channel branches off from the Pembina River , which flows south of Pelican Lake , and may supply water to the lake. Excess water is fed back into the Pembina River via a drainage channel. The reservoir target of Pelican Lake is 411.48  m .

At the northwest end of Pelican Lake is the settlement of Ninette .

Pelican Lake is used for recreational purposes such as fishing and sailing . Pike , eyeglasses and American perch are found in the lake .
