Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Pema Dönyö Nyinje Wangpo (also: Pema Donyo Nyinje Wangpo or Pema Donyo Nyingche ; tib . : byams mgon rdo rje 'chang chen po kwan ting ta' yi si tu pad ma don yod nyin byed dbang po བྱམས་ མགོན་ རྡོ་ རྗེ་ འཆང་ ཆེན་པོ་ ཀྭན་ ཏིང་ ཏཱ་ ཡི་ སི་ ཏུ་ པདྨ་ དོན་ ཡོད་ ཉིན་ བྱེད་ དབང་ པོ །; * 1954 in Dêgê ) is the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and highest abbot of the Palpung Congregation.

Pema Dönyö Nyinje was enthroned as the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche by the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa at the age of eighteen months in Palpung Monastery in Derge . He received refuge from the Dalai Lama in Palpung Monastery. At the age of five he was taken to Tshurphu .

Due to the political situation in Tibet , he first fled to Bhutan in 1959 and later traveled to Sikkim , where he received the complete transmission of the entire lineage from the 16th Karmapa until 1975 in Rumtek Monastery . At the age of twenty-two he founded the Palpung Sherab Ling Monastery in Himachal Pradesh as its headquarters in exile. In 2000 relics of the 8th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoches were housed in a separate temple .

As a Buddhist master, the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche went on several large teaching trips at the request of international students, during which he gave teachings and empowerments. In 1981 he made his first trip to Europe and in 1982 he visited America . The instructions given have been published in nine English-language books so far. Further book publications followed in the new millennium. In 1989 the 12th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche went on the "Pilgrimage for Active Peace", a pilgrimage for world peace, the 25th anniversary of which was celebrated in 2015 in a two-day peace conclave in Palpung Sherab Ling, to which representatives of many different world religions were invited were.

Together with the 12th Goshir Gyaltshab Rinpoche Rinpoche and the 3rd Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche , he recognized Orgyen Thrinle Dorje as the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa and enthroned him in 1992 in the Tshurphu Monastery. The 12th Tai Situpa is the root guru of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa.

On February 21, 2015, Chamgon Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche opened the newly established Shedra, Buddhist University for Higher Studies, Palpung Lungrig Jampal Ling, in Palpung Sherab Ling. On March 11th and 12th 2015, HH Dalai Lama Palpung visited Sherab Ling in the presence of Jamgon Konrul Rinpoche, Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche and representatives of all Karma Kagyu monasteries from India, Nepal and Bhutan, representatives of HH Sakya Trizin, HH Drikung Kyabgon, HE Gyaltshab Rinpoche to inaugurate the completion of Palpung Sherab Ling as with exactly the same facilities that the seat in Tibet had, the Ten Kinds of Knowledge, Monastery, University, Marpa Kagyu three-year retreat for monks and nuns, a Shangpa Kagyu retreat, temple of relics and to top it off with a two-day instruction.
