Pencaitland is a village in the Scottish council area of East Lothian . It is about 20 km east of Edinburgh on the River Tyne , which divides the village into an east and a west part. In 2011 Pencaitland had 1515 inhabitants. South of the village produced founded in 1825 Glenkinchie -Brennerei whiskey . It is part of the international Diageo group . There is a large malt house at the west end of Pencaitland .
