The Peneplain Peak is a 2,650 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Alexandra chain of the Transantarctic Mountains, it rises in the middle of the Hampton Ridge between the Montgomerie and Mackellar glaciers .
A team of geologists from Ohio State University who worked in the area between 1967 and 1968 made the designation. It is named after a torso area ( English peneplain ) on the mountain that he discovered.
