Pepín González
José "Pepín" González (born May 26, 1932 in Mexico City ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .
Life
"Pepín" González was trained in the junior division of his home club America and made his debut in the first team in a Superclásico Mexicano held on November 16, 1952 against arch rivals Chivas Guadalajara , which was won 3-2. Pepín was considered the best player of the game and had thus made the breakthrough straight away. With the exception of the 1958/59 season, when America had given him to the second division club Poza Rica FC , he played throughout his career, which he let out in 1964/65, exclusively for the Americanistas , with whom he won the Mexican Cup four times .
